Diammonium phosphate (DAP) with the formula NH4 (2HPO4) is a dark colored granular compound that is soluble in water. Diammonium phosphate as a chemical fertilizer contains nitrogen and phosphorus, which plays an important role in early growth, especially plant growth. DAP is available as gray, black or white crystals in liquid, granular and edible forms. When it dissolves in water, it releases NH4+ and H2PO4- ions. DAP is easily dissolved in water and it can be said that gardeners and farmers have been using this substance since 1960 to solve the phosphorus requirement of the plant.

Amount and method of consumption:
Although nitrogen absorption is carried out by the plant in all stages of growth, the closer we get to the final stages of plant growth, the amount of absorption will be higher. This fertilizer can be used twice, the first time when the plant is half-grown and the second time when the plant is fully grown and flowering. The recommendation of the researchers is to add 75% of the required fertilizer for the first time and the remaining 25% to the soil during full growth.
